When is the festival?
In 2022, Bring The Paint is Monday 23rd May through to Sunday 29th May. The main festival day is Saturday 28th May.
Where does it take place?
Bring The Paint takes place in Leicester City Centre. In 2022 there are 3 main information hubs - The Mill in the north of the city, The SoundHouse, east of the city centre, and DeMontfort University's Student's Union, west of the city centre - where you will be able to pick up a map and programme guide.
What time is it on?
Mural painters begin painting around 10AM and finish around 6PM. Times can vary.
Can I paint?
Headline artists are invited to paint. In previous years we have had the opportunity to utilise building site hoardings for submissions. We cannot offer this in 2022.

Do you provide paint?
Bring The Paint buys the paint for headline artists.
Graff HQ is the local graffiti and art supply shop, located in The Mill by GRAFFWERK - one of the information points for the festival. Graff HQ stocks Montana, Loop, Posca, Molotov, and many others.
Can I volunteer?
Yes, there are volunteering opportunities. Visit the Volunteer page to find out more and sign up.
First Aid
St John's Ambulance will be at The Mill by GRAFFWERK on Saturday 28th May. Emergency First Aid trained staff and volunteers will be scheduled evenly across the city centre during the festival week.
Food and drink
In 2022, Last Friday Street Food Event will be open on Friday 27th and Saturday 28th May at LCB Depot, one of the festival workshop venues. Bitsy's Emporium of Awesome Cafe will be open Tuesday 24th - Sunday 29th May, located at The Mill.
Leicester has a great range of local cafes, bars, and restaurants as well.
Planning your Travel
In 2022, Bring The Paint spans such a vast area that there are 3 information points! The Mill towards the north of the city in Frog Island, The SoundHouse in St. George's Cultural Quarter, and DeMontfort University's Student Union, to the west. Below we are providing directions to each site.
By Train
The SoundHouse is a 7 minute walk from Leicester Train Station.
The Mill is a 27 minute walk from Leicester Train Station.
DMU's Student's Union is a 16 minute walk from Leicester Train Station.
By Car
You can reach The SoundHouse on the A594. There is some on street parking available.
You can reach The Mill on the A50.
You can reach DMU's Student's Union on the A594. Parking onsite is not available.

By Bus
For The Mill - bus numbers 12, 14, 14A, 26, 27, 29, 29A, and 162 stop at Slater Street, outside the entrance to The Mill.
For The SoundHouse - There are several bus stops on Charles Street, which is a 5 minute walk away:

By Bike
The nearest national cycle path is bike route 6 which emerges on Braunstone Gate, roughly 0.4 miles from DMU's Student's Union, 1 mile from The SoundHouse and 1.5 miles from The Mill.
